During our last presidential election, our current president, Barack Obama, used a fair amount of symbolism in linking his name to that of President Abraham Lincoln, even to the point of insisting that he take the oath of office on the Bible that was used by President LIncoln when he was inaugurated as our 16th President of the United States of America.
Although President Obama expresses his admiration for President Lincoln, he apparently has not read up on President Lincoln's views of democracy and unity within the United States. The following quotation from President Lincoln bears sharp contrast to some of the policies being instituted or continued by President Obama.
President Lincoln expressed his ideas as follows:
"You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift.
You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.
You cannot help the wage earner by pulling down the wage payer.
You cannot further the brotherhood of man by encouraging class hatred.
You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich.
You cannot keep out of trouble by spending more than you earn.
You cannot build character and courage by taking away man’s initiative and independence.
You cannot help men permanently by doing for them what they could and should do for themselves."
President Obama, may I suggest that you heed these words of wisdom from one of our greatest leaders and rethink the game plan for America today! It is never to late for HOPE and CHANGE and I, for one, HOPE you will CHANGE your policies and get more in line with the thinking of President Lincoln.

Trapping Wild Pigs--A How-To Guide
There was a young man working for me recently, who came from an impoverished country in Africa. One day, we were talking about the politics of the day here in America, and he told me the following tale.
It seems that, in his country, there were herds of wild pigs roaming free across his country. As a source of food, these pigs were hunted, but not very successfully because they were smart, fast and not too easy to catch. One villager, however, came up with the perfect plan for catching the wild pigs, and he imparted this information to other villagers.
HOW TO TRAP WILD PIGS.
First, you need to find an area where the pigs normally go to feed. Once you have found this area, go there regularly and scatter a goodly amount of corn around on the ground. Do this for several days until the pigs are used to getting the corn every day.
After that first few days, build a large fence just along one side of the corn pile. Let the pigs continue to feed everyday and soon they will be used to the segment of fence. A few days after that, put up a second fence segment, fencing in two sides of the corn pile. After the pigs have gotten used to that second segment, as they will, put up a third segment of fence.
Last of all, when the pigs are used to going into the three-sided fenced enclosure, install a swinging gate on the fourth side. When the pigs come for their FREE corn, close the gate and you have captured the entire herd.
Does anybody see any parallels between this story and the ongoing politics of entitlement in the United States? Think about it for a little while and see what you think. I would say we are somewhere between the "third side of the fence" and the installation of "the gate." You may not agree, but take a look at what is being taken over by our government in the name of the common good. Barack Obama and his cohorts just keep laying out the corn and a large number of our citizens gobble it up and get used to it. At this rate, it won't be long before the gate is closed.

Dinner With The President--A Parable
Once upon a time, I was invited to the White House for a private dinner with the President. I am a respected businessman, with a factory that produces memory chips for computers and portable electronics. There was some talk that my industry was being scrutinized by the administration, but I paid it no mind. I live in a free country. There's nothing that the government can do to me if I've broken no laws. My wealth was earned honestly, and an invitation to dinner with an American President is an honor.
I checked my coat, was greeted by the Chief of Staff, and joined the President in a yellow dining room. We sat across from each other at a table draped in white linen. The Great Seal was embossed on the china. Uniformed staff served our dinner. The meal was served, and I was startled when my waiter suddenly reached out, plucked a dinner roll off my plate, and began nibbling it as he walked back to the kitchen. "Sorry about that," said the President. "Andrew is very hungry."
"I don't appreciate..." I began, but as I looked into the calm brown eyes across from me, I felt immediately guilty and petty. It was just a dinner roll. "Of course," I concluded, and reached for my glass. Before I could, however, another waiter reached forward, took the glass away and swallowed the wine in a single gulp.
"And his brother Eric is very thirsty," said the President. I didn't say anything. The President is testing my compassion, I thought. I will play along. I don't want to seem unkind. My plate was whisked away before I had tasted a bite. "Eric's children are also quite hungry."
With a lurch, I crashed to the floor. My chair had been pulled out from under me. I stood, brushing myself off angrily, and watched as it was carried from the room. "And their grandmother can't stand for long."
I excused myself, smiling outwardly, but inside feeling like a fool. Obviously I had been invited to the White House to be sport for some game. I reached for my coat, to find that it had been taken. I turned back to the President. "Their grandfather doesn't like the cold." I wanted to shout - that was my coat! But again, I looked at the placid smiling face of my host and decided I was being a poor sport. I spread my hands helplessly and chuckled.
Then I felt my hip pocket and realized my wallet was gone. I excused myself and walked to a phone on an elegant side table. I learned shortly that my credit cards had been maxed out, my bank accounts emptied, my retirement and equity portfolios had vanished, and my wife had been thrown out of our home. Apparently, the waiters and their families were moving in. The President hadn't moved or spoken as I learned all this, but finally I lowered the phone into its cradle and turned to face him.
"Andrew's whole family has made bad financial decisions. They haven't planned for retirement, and they need a house. They recently defaulted on a sub-prime mortgage. I told them they could have your home. They need it more than you do."
My hands were shaking. I felt faint. I stumbled back to the table and knelt on the floor. The President cheerfully cut his meat, ate his steak and drank his wine. I lowered my eyes and stared at the small grey circles on the tablecloth that were water drops.
"By the way," he added, "I have just signed an Executive Order nationalizing your factories. I'm firing you as head of your business. I'll be operating the firm now for the benefit of all mankind. There's a whole bunch of Erics and Andrews out there and they can't come to you for jobs groveling like beggars."
I looked up. The President dropped his spoon into the empty ramekin which had been his Creme Brulee. He drained the last drops of his wine. As the table was cleared, he lit a cigarette and leaned back in his chair. He stared at me I clung to the edge of the table as if it were a ledge and I were a man hanging over an abyss. I thought of the years behind me, of the life I had lived. The life I had earned with a lifetime of work, risk and struggle. Why was I punished? How had I allowed it to be taken? What game had I played and lost? I looked across the table and noticed with some surprise that there was no game board between us. What had I done wrong? As if answering the unspoken thought, the President suddenly cocked his head, locked his empty eyes to mine, and bared a million teeth, chuckling wryly as he folded his hands.
"You should have stopped me at the dinner roll," he said.

Tarp bailouts, auto bailouts, pork handouts, increased taxes to pay for needless programs, Cap and Trade (which is really just a tax on everything), social security and amnesty for illegal immigrants and universal health care (run by the government). Maybe we should all stand up now and tell President Obama and the Democratic leftwing liberals that we are stopping them now, somewhere between the "dinner roll" and our very souls that we are not GIVING any more and we are not going to allow them to TAKE any more. We better do it soon while there is anything left to be kept.

Financial Problems??? Get Yourself A Uighur!!
My Friends!
Are you behind in your mortgage?? Has your 401K tanked?? Are you tired of living in the dark because you can't pay your electric bill?? Yes, some of our government's decisions have certainly affected our economy in a negative way!! And, with the possibility of new taxes looming on the horizon, what's a person supposed to do?!?!? I WILL TELL YOU, IN THREE EASY WORDS.
GET A UIGHUR!!
What?? What the hell is a Uighur. I am glad you asked. A Uighur is a Chinese Muslim. There are currently 17 Uighurs being held at Guantanamo Bay but it has been determined that they are not actually "enemy combatants" and should be released. Unfortunately, no one wants to take them!! Fortunately, we have Barack Obama, quite possibly the smartest human being to ever live and he has figured it out! The United States taxpayers will simply pony up $200 million dollars, i.e. $200,000,000.00, and pay it to the island of Palau, who will then graciously take these 17 Uighurs and give them a home. For those of you who are not great with math, that breaks down to a bargain basement payment price of only $11, 764,705.89...a mere pittance by the standard of government spending in this administration.
But then I was thinking to myself, even though $11,764,705.89 is a great bargain price...maybe I could do it for less myself. So I was thinking that maybe I would tell President Obama that I will take a Uighur, or maybe two, and I would do it for 20%, NO, 25% off the cost of what Palau wants to charge. I will take a couple of Uighurs at a price to the government of only, ONLY $8,823,529.41, taxes and tags included.
I figure that once I have my new Uighurs, I can build a guest house for them, or, if they are nice, maybe just a new wing on my house. I should be able to hire some decent security guards (anyone know a reliable security company?) to keep everything under control and still probably realize a nice little stipend for myself of say, oh, $5 million dollars per Uighur.
This could become a real cottage industry, but you have to hurry and get in on the ground floor before all the Uighurs are gone. Call the White House today and tell Barack that you want a Uighur for your very own. It will mean savings for the taxpayer, it is patriotic, and it could be a fun hobby and a learning experience for you and your kids. DON'T DELAY!! CALL TODAY!!

The Quiet Revolution
The American Revolution, which resulted in this country being the great country that it is, was open, noisy and evident to anyone who observed it. The country which was created from the plans of our Founding Fathers has grown, in roughly 2 1/2 centuries into arguably the greatest country that this world has ever seen.
Now, within the halls of Congress and the courtrooms of American justice, and within the confines of the Oval Office itself, plans are being made and actions are being taken that have or will dramatically affect Americs's greatness in a very negative way.
Although the mainstream media, aka The Barack Obama Fan Club, do not choose to keep you apprised of many of these actions, nonetheless, President Barack Obama and his far left Democrats are quickly leading the United States down a road which will inevitably result in a major change that will leave the our country overtaxed and possibly bankrupt.
Now, in fairness to our President, while campaigning last summer, Barack Obama did say, "America is the greatest country in the history of the world. Come and help me change it!" Now, I presume that those American voters who cast their vote for President Obama were assuming that he meant changing America for the BETTER!
I GUESS NOT! Here are just a few examples of how America is being changed by the Barack administration.
The TARP bailout was instituted to bailout our financial system, i.e. stabilizing our banks. The legislation, as passed, specifically limited the use of this money to banking bailouts. Further, as banks paid back the TARP money, the legislation specifies that all money paid back would go directly to the general treasury funds of the United States. With that being said, why were billions of dollars used in the auto bailouts of Chrysler and General Motors. I guess someone ABOVE THE LAW just decided to rewrite that part of the legislation. Oh, yeah, and by the way, TurboTax Tim Geitner, our esteemed Treasury Secretary, announced recently that repaid TARP funds would be reused for other bailout plans. WHAT HAPPENED TO PUTTING THAT MONEY BACK INTO OUR TREASURY?!?!?
OK, let's move on from that for now. Did you hear that the Obama administration decided to rewrite bankruptcy laws and they were able to do that without having to go and bother our Congress with the pesky task of legislating. WHAT A TIMESAVER!! Yes, folks, even though U.S. Bankruptcy code is very clear on who gets in line first when a business goes bankrupt, the Obama administration thought it would be much better if the United Auto Workers (UAW), who were NOT SECURED CREDITORS, would receive the lion's share of these bankrupt auto firms while the actual investors were browbeaten into settling for a much smaller share of the pie. As a small child playing board games and card games with my family and friends, I was taught early on that trying to rewrite the rules in the middle of a game is called CHEATING, which of course is DISHONEST!! But, I guess when you are the President, rewriting the rules and ignoring the existing law and contracts would be called uh, hmm, well....Gee, I don't know, but it sure sounds DISHONEST to this citizen.
And let us not forget that all new legislation under the Obama presidency was going to be transparent and spending would be on a "pay-as-you -go" basis, spending on new projects only after we saved money from cancelling useless OLD projects. Does anyone else remember those promises? WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED?!?!?!
A power grab of unprecedented proportions is taking place right under our collective noses. President Obama now has an entire Russian Royal Family of Czars who are in charge of a great many aspects of American life and business. These czars answer to no one except President (or is that King?) Obama. These czars are unelected and are not even subject to approval of Congress. They are simply individuals in whom President Obama has placed great amounts of power over your life and mine, without any accountability to the citizens of the United States!! HEY, I HAVE A GREAT IDEA FOR SAVING TAXPAYER DOLLARS!! SINCE WE NOW HAVE A CZAR TO COVER ALMOST EVERYTHING, WHAT THE HELL DO WE NEED A PRESIDENTIAL CABINET FOR?!?!? LET'S GET RID OF THOSE USELESS DEADBEATS AND SAVE ALL THAT SALARY MONEY THAT IS CURRENTLY BEING PAID OUT!!
The Obama government is taking control of the banking system, taking charge of major industries and ignoring the laws of this land and the U.S. Constitution itself!! If this continues unchallenged and unabated, we might as well start calling each other "comrade" and, instead of elections, we will just go ahead and hold coronations on those people fortunate enough to be annointed by our newest deity, Obama Almighty!!

AMERICAN CAPITALISM GONE WITH A WHIMPER
It must be said, that like the breaking of a great dam, the American decent into Marxism is happening with breath taking speed, against the back drop of a passive, hapless sheeple, excuse me dear reader, I meant people. True, the situation has been well prepared on and off for the past century, especially the past twenty years. The initial testing grounds was conducted upon our Holy Russia and a bloody test it was. Then their faith in God was destroyed, until their churches, all tens of thousands of different "branches and denominations" were for the most part little more then Sunday circuses and their televangelists and top protestant mega preachers were more then happy to sell out their souls and flocks to be on the "winning" side of one pseudo Marxist politician or another. Their flocks may complain, but when explained that they would be on the "winning" side, their flocks were ever so quick to reject Christ in hopes for earthly power. Even our Holy Orthodox churches are scandalously liberalized in America.
The final collapse has come with the election of Barack Obama. His speed in the past three months has been truly impressive. His spending and money printing has been a record setting, not just in America's short history but in the world. If this keeps up for more than another year, and there is no sign that it will not, America at best will resemble the Wiemar Republic and at worst Zimbabwe.
These past two weeks have been the most breath taking of all. First came the announcement of a planned redesign of the American Byzantine tax system, by the very thieves who used it to bankroll their thefts, losses and swindles of hundreds of billions of dollars. These make our Russian oligarchs look little more then ordinary street thugs, in comparison. Yes, the Americans have beat our own thieves in the shear volumes. Should we congratulate them?
Then came Barack Obama's command that GM's (General Motor) president step down from leadership of his company. That is correct, dear reader, in the land of "pure" free markets, the American president now has the power, the self given power, to fire CEOs and we can assume other employees of private companies, at will. Come hither, go dither, the centurion commands his minions.
So it should be no surprise, that the American president has followed this up with a "bold" move of declaring that he and another group of unelected, chosen stooges will now redesign the entire automotive industry and will even be the guarantee of automobile policies. I am sure that if given the chance, they would happily try and redesign it for the whole of the world, too. Prime Minister Putin, less then two months ago, warned Obama and UK's Blair, not to follow the path to Marxism, it only leads to disaster. Apparently, even though we suffered 70 years of this Western sponsored horror show, we know nothing, as foolish, drunken Russians, so let our "wise" Anglo-Saxon fools find out the folly of their own pride.
Again, the American public has taken this with barely a whimper...but a "freeman" whimper.
So, should it be any surprise to discover that the Democratically controlled Congress of America is working on passing a new regulation that would give the American Treasury department the power to set "fair" maximum salaries, evaluate performance and control how private companies give out pay raises and bonuses? Senator Barney Franks, a social pervert basking in his homosexuality (of course, amongst the modern, enlightened American societal norm, as well as that of the general West, homosexuality is not only not a looked down upon life choice, but is often praised as a virtue) and his Marxist enlightenment, has led this effort. He stresses that this only affects companies that receive government monies, but it is retroactive and taken to a logical extreme, this would include any company or industry that has ever received a tax break or incentive.
The Russian owners of American companies and industries should look thoughtfully at this and the option of closing their facilities down and fleeing the land of the Red as fast as possible. In other words, divest while there is still value left.
The proud American will go down into his slavery with out a fight, beating his chest and proclaiming to the world, how free he really is. The world will only snicker.
